Se trata de la <strong>Unidad de Biotecnolog\u00eda Vegetal (UBI)<\/strong>, un laboratorio de vanguardia que impulsa la <strong>biotecnolog\u00eda vegetal en Colombia<\/strong> con soluciones cient\u00edficas dise\u00f1adas para mejorar la productividad, sanidad y competitividad del agro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UBI: ciencia aplicada al campo colombiano<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>UBI<\/strong> naci\u00f3 como respuesta a un desaf\u00edo urgente: llevar los avances de la academia directamente al campo, cerrando la brecha entre investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola. Este centro tecnol\u00f3gico se especializa en servicios clave como:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Detecci\u00f3n de virus y viroides en plantas<\/strong>, esenciales para prevenir enfermedades que afectan cultivos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Propagaci\u00f3n in vitro de especies vegetales<\/strong>, una t\u00e9cnica que permite multiplicar plantas sanas y de alto rendimiento.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apoyo a procesos de certificaci\u00f3n y control fitosanitario<\/strong>, demandados por mercados nacionales e internacionales.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alianzas estrat\u00e9gicas y expansi\u00f3n regional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias a un equipo interdisciplinario de investigadores y una infraestructura de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n, la UBI ha logrado establecer <strong>alianzas estrat\u00e9gicas con empresas del sector floricultor<\/strong>, uno de los m\u00e1s exigentes en t\u00e9rminos de calidad y sanidad vegetal. Adem\u00e1s, su capacidad t\u00e9cnica ya ha comenzado a atraer el inter\u00e9s de organizaciones agr\u00edcolas en otros pa\u00edses de Suram\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este posicionamiento convierte a la <strong>Universidad CES en un referente regional en biotecnolog\u00eda aplicada al agro<\/strong>, consolidando su papel como puente entre la investigaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica y el desarrollo productivo sostenible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innovaci\u00f3n con impacto econ\u00f3mico, ambiental y social<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Para el doctor Arenas, vocero del proyecto, \u201cla innovaci\u00f3n es uno de nuestros pilares institucionales.
